Are you looking for a supportive, creative space to explore your passions and connect with fellow creators & makers? We (The Locals) are thrilled to host the Ladies’ Art Club at the Scarborough Women’s Shed!
We believe in fostering a love of art through hands-on play and mutual support. Every scribble is celebrated, and every creative is welcome, from absolute beginners to experienced creators.

Fabric Appliqué & Collage with Guest Host Kiki MagidJoin us for a fun, relaxed evening of creative play with guest host Kiki Magid!
Appliqué is a simple, satisfying technique that produces amazingly cool and unique results—no complex sewing required! Kiki will walk you step-by-step through tracing custom motifs, layering vibrant fabrics, and using iron-on interfacing to turn ordinary textiles into wearable works of art.
What’s provided:
A blank canvas tote bag ready to customise.
Iron-on interfacing paper (Steam-a-Seam) and irons.
Pre-printed motifs to trace (or feel free to sketch your own design!).
A colourful collection of fabrics from Kiki’s personal stash.
Bring Something Personal (Optional!): Every participant will receive a plain tote bag, but you are also very welcome to bring a item from home to customise instead! Got a denim jacket, pouch, apron, or plain tee that needs a pop of personality? Bring it along and give it a whole new life.
No prior art or craft experience needed—just come ready to experiment, chat, and create!
