Based in the Stirling area of Western Australia, Kate Skinner is a multi-disciplinary creative whose practice spans fine art and tattoo artistry, rooted in a strong educational background and a lifelong commitment to making art.
Kate’s journey began when she entered the specialised art program at Kalamunda Senior High School, where from a young age she developed the technical and conceptual foundations of her art. From there, she pursued higher education in the arts graduating with a fine art degree.
My art now encompasses two sides, my work as a tattoo artist where I am surrounded by creatives and work collaboratively with clients, and my personal practice as an artist where I enjoy creating in solitude.Kate Skinner
Art Practice
Kate’s studio practice is richly varied:

The breadth of materials and methods allows her to move freely between the spontaneity of watercolour and the solidity of glass or ceramics—always created with her underlying style.

In parallel with her fine art, Kate is an accomplished tattoo artist.
