Native Botanical Dyeing & Floral Arranging Workshop

Hosted by The Locals WA
At The Locals, our favourite thing to do is open up the Scarborough Women’s Shed to incredible local talent and bring our community together for a morning of slow-craft, learning, and genuine connection.
We are absolutely thrilled to host and support this beautiful winter collaboration featuring two passionate West Australian creatives: Carly from Rivarossa Botanicals and Tara from Euka Floral Design. We are taking care of the space, the admin, and marketing for this workshop so our local creatives can focus on putting on an amazing event.
The Experience
In this special collaborative workshop, Carly and Tara will guide you through two hands-on creative experiences showcasing the organic beauty of locally grown and foraged botanicals.
Part 1: The Magic of Botanical Printing: Carly will introduce you to the alchemy of natural dyeing. You’ll learn how to use native leaves, flowers, and traditional techniques to print and dye your very own luxurious silk scarf.
Part 2: Art of the Bouquet: Tara will then share her industry expertise in floral design. You’ll learn the principles of styling native wildflowers, creating a stunning, fresh bouquet to take home.
Throughout the morning, you’ll gain valuable insights into sustainable creative practices, all while enjoying the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere of The Locals’ community hub.
